Justice4Primates Voice & Protection is a Colorado nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the welfare, dignity, and protection of nonhuman primates.

Our organization was born from a deep passion for animals and a determination to make a difference. What began as a journey of witnessing the heartbreaking realities of primate abuse, neglect, and exploitation has grown into a mission to create meaningful and lasting change.

We believe that primates are not possessions, entertainment, or household pets. They are highly intelligent, emotionally complex, and social animals with unique physical, psychological, and environmental needs. They deserve compassion, proper care, and strong legal protections.

What We Stand For

Our work focuses on:

• Legislative Reform: Advocating for stronger local, state, and federal laws that protect primates from abuse, neglect, exploitation, and inappropriate private ownership.

• Education and Awareness: Helping the public understand the complex needs of primates and the dangers associated with the exotic pet trade.

• Advocacy and Accountability: Supporting responsible reporting of suspected mistreatment and encouraging appropriate authorities to investigate and enforce animal welfare laws.

• Ending Exploitation: Raising awareness about illegal trafficking, irresponsible breeding, and the use of primates for entertainment and profit.

• Sanctuary and Welfare Support: Promoting responsible sanctuary placement, species-appropriate environments, enrichment, and qualified veterinary care.

We are committed to bringing our advocacy to lawmakers, including those in Washington, D.C., because we believe real change requires more than awareness. It requires action, persistence, and a willingness to challenge laws that fail to protect these remarkable animals.
